A book jam-packed with witty commentary on important matters of the day and other things, most of these stories were written between 2009 and 2011, starting soon after the Credit Crunch had nearly sunk the world economy – and might yet do so. Consisting mostly of general rubbish, they do not pretend to compete with the analytical expertise of Robert Peston or experts in banks (Ha!) and governments (Ha ha!) but some of them may contain just a grain of truth or common sense. One or two have dispensed with the rubbish and contain considerably more truth, and one is absolutely jam-packed with the truth. See if you can spot it.
ZigZag SpeeedRead Edition:
You are about to experience, quite possibly for the first time, ZigZag SpeeedRead. Its quite easy so do not be alarmed. It will transform your reading experience, as the marketing people like to say.
In ZigZag SpeeedRead lines are written alternately forwards and backwards so that your eyes don’t have to make an unproductive right to left traverse of the page to the start of the next line, but each paragraph and page still starts with a normal forwards line. At first, you may find that your eyes can read the words faster than your brain can take it all in but this will improve with a little practice as your eyes and brain get into sync. again. From then on reading will be a joy to behold and you will soon be able to read up to 20% faster than before. Happy reading.
